The ChatGPT CEO called Mark ZuckerHamster and Elon Mouse with a favor. He admired the team’s “hybrid focus” and asked if he, too, could become part woodland animal. Nothing drastic. Maybe part fox, he said.
Mark put him on speaker. Elon topped off an espresso and nodded.
Mark: We can consider your request.
Elon: There’s a condition, bro.
Silence on the line. A typing sound.
Mark: Not sure who’s typing here.
Silence again. The typing stops.
Mark: You’ll need to sell us OpenAI first, bro.
Elon: Clean deal. You hand over the keys; we hand over the whiskers.
ChatGPT CEO: That’s a no.
Mark looked at Elon. Elon shook his head in disappointment.
Elon: He’s just afraid to alter his genetics.
Mark: Agreed.
The ChatGPT CEO tried a counteroffer: honorary tail on weekends, limited whiskers. “People will hardly notice,” he pleaded.
Mark: We respect your desire to be like us, bro. But real adaptation has a cost.
Elon: And a tail.
Panda Wise rolled in with a tablet and a bamboo snack, listening like a friendly auditor.
Panda Wise: 「想要森林的智慧,得先接受森林的样子。」
(If you want the forest’s wisdom, you have to accept the forest’s look.)
The ChatGPT CEO realized the team had made their determination. He would definitely not be getting fox whiskers.
Mark stood: Full woodland membership for full ownership transfer. Final offer.
Elon: Otherwise, best of luck with standard-human mode.
The call ended. The room went quiet except for a faint acorn drone doing lazy circles above the whiteboard.
Panda Wise: 「怕冒险,就别抱怨。」
(If you fear the risk, don’t complain about the ceiling.)
Elon: Back to work?
Mark: Back to work, bro.
